I’m Mags McLeary and I set up Good Day At The Office in 2019. Over the last 20 years I’ve worked for small and medium scale arts organisations, education providers and as a local authority arts officer. As Principal Arts Officer at Leeds City Council I managed Light Night Leeds for 2 years and ran the arts@leeds grant scheme, so I have a pretty good handle on what makes a successful funding application, how to manage events and lots of other useful workplace experience.
My background is in arts and education; I did a fine art degree and then worked as an art teacher in secondary schools for 5 years. Wow, that was hard work. After that I moved into arts management and gained a post-graduate qualification in arts administration. I’ve worked for arts organisations including Axis, Pavilion and MAP and I’m currently a Trustee of Morley Arts Festival. My understanding of the voluntary sector means I can help your organisation grow and thrive.
